Mulled Wine Whiskey Sour

Here's a deliciously tipsy use for leftover poaching liquid. A twist on the New York cocktail, this festive sip gets big flavor from pear-infused mulled wine syrup. Make a big batch and serve them up at your next holiday shindig!

  • 2 ounces bourbon or whiskey
  • 1 ounce reduced poaching liquid, from above
  • 1 ounce strained lemon juice
  • Ice
  • Fizzy water, optional


  • Combine all in cocktail shaker and shake or stir for 20 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top with fizzy water if desired.
